Blackboard: Essentials

Introductory Blackboard Training

This workshop is designed to give faculty, staff, and teaching assistants the foundation to build a Blackboard course or organization. It is a prerequisite before having a course activated in Blackboard.

Learning Objectives

In this workshop, you will be introduced to:

a) Interface, Navigation, Control Panel
b) Viewing Courses/Organizations as a Student/Participant: Edit Mode and Add Test Student
c) Adding content (documents, syllabus, hyperlinks, video)
d) Communication & Collaborative tools
e) Assignments and Grade Center
f) Group and User Management

Requirements:

  • Basic Computer Skills
  • MySanDiego Account and Password
